A stylish wedding at The Hall near Matamata

It had been raining all week, so everyone was excited that it turned out to be a perfect sunny day, allowing for an elegant outdoor ceremony under the Bell tower by an old oak tree and the opportunity for guests to mingle and play vintage games in the courtyard afterwards - enjoying the caravan bar drinks, delicious food truck eats and live music.

The Hall has an interesting back-story. Owners Eugene and Joanna fell in love with the building and its romantic country location, after it had been abandoned for many years. They took on a "labour of love" restoring the venue, then added on beautiful outdoor spaces. Located near the Kaimai mountian range and surrounded by meadows they have now curated and styled the gardens to create a range of beautiful wedding photo backdrops.

We explored the property with the couple's fun-loving bridal party. Everything came together for perfect colours during this shoot: Maddee's stunning dress, gorgeous burnt orange bridesmaid dresses and amazing bouquets to match, in combination with the flattering low sunlight and just the right amount of wind to help lift the veil!
